My goal this summer is to involve the kids in as much in “growing things” and meaningful outdoor work as possible. There is something special about learning how to cultivate and care for the plants and land and we are here for it. 💪🏼

Can’t believe that it’s peach time already! It feels early but grateful for this early variety. A February freeze zapped some of the blooms but we watered it deeply before the freeze and a lot of them made it! Fewer blossoms allowed a lot more growing power to go into the ones that survived and there are some nice big fruit on this tree!

I’ve had it in my heart to get outside and get busy in the garden, albeit with a somewhat late start. But the kids and I are getting after it but by bit - swipe to see the greenhouse and help putting in the no-till beds. 🙌

Growing things is such an important skill to have, to learn more about, and to pass down to the kids. Getting outside with a mandatory 1.5 hrs of “outdoor work” has been a great kickoff to our summer schedule. 😌

We have a lot to learn but we are in it for the long haul. 🎉

Happy first birthday, Juniper Rose!! I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone - and at the same time, I’ve finally learned how to slow down and savor the moments with you. I love how you hand me forbidden pencils when you find them on the floor, how you get away with sitting on the dishwasher door, and how you clap and dance when daddy comes into the room. Forever smitten and grateful to be your mamma. 🥰

All is well, all is well - the song my girls are learning for Christmas and the theme of this post as I hop off the gram and take a breather from posting for a bit!

We’ve been working on our kitchen/laundry room reno, putting our head down with school, tackling dyslexia, feeding babies, snuggling toddlers, and getting some outdoor projects lined out to push the needle toward a more active homestead. 🙌
